Nascar

Rob and I went to the Nascar race last Sunday at California Speedway. It was a lot of fun. A couple hours before the race, we walked around by all the trailers. Our seats were just before the finish line. Sammy Hagar sang a few songs for about a half hour. It was so loud! The race was fun. It started slow with three cautions one after the other but then it picked up. My parent's favorite driver, Matt Kenseth, won the race. Gordon came in second. My driver, Denny Hamlin, came in 11th. Too bad it was so cold out. My hands were freezing the whole time. Overall, a very fun time. Next time we want to get pit passes so we can go into the pits before the race. I posted some pictures. Check them out!

Vision

I know they say that wearing glasses or contacts all the time does not make your eyesight worse. I, however, am not sure about that. Since I got glasses for the first time in high school, I've had to strengthen my prescription several times. I know people that have also gotten glasses but decided not to wear them and their vision has not deteriorated or not deteriorated as quickly. What do you think? All I know is I'm glad they invented contact lenses. I hate glasses.

Quite the hike

Rob and I decided to go hiking yesterday in the Verdugo mountains right here in Burbank.
It was quite fun in the beginning.

The path got smaller and smaller the higher up we went. And it was steep.

There's me.

We almost made it to the top. It was so incredibly hot out and we ran out of water before hitting the top. I began to suffer from dehydration so we turned around. I had to stop sometimes on the way down to sit because of the lack of water. Rob was nice and would block the sun for me with his shadow when I had to take another break. Here are some pretty view pictures:
From there we could see Los Angeles, all the surrounding cities, and even the ocean. Next time, we know to bring a ton of water with us! So then we can actually make it to the very top!

Trip

Rob booked us for a weekend getaway trip to Catalina Island for our wedding anniversary. We're gonna take an "under the sea" tour. It'll be a short but nice trip. So that's something exciting to look forward to!

One week down

I've now worked for one full week. I'm feeling more comfortable now though there is still stuff that I know I need to learn. It is not always very fun to wake up at 4:35am but I'm getting used to it and I still love the hours. And I get to randomly browse the internet on my down times. I'm actually at work right now writing this. That's about it. Oh, one more thing:
Happy Valentine's Day!! Hope its a good one!

Employed again

I got a job! I had the interview today and later in the day he offered me the job. I am working at Synergy Performance Health & Fitness Center. Its a gym but moreso a wellness center where people go for physical therapy with doctors and therapists. It offers benefits which is great. And the hours are awesome: 6am - 3pm. I know those hours wouldn't be awesome for some people but for me they're great.! And it is located about a half mile from where I live. That's a huge plus here in LA. I have to get used to regularly going to work again. I start tomorrow.

Word Cloud

This is my word cloud. Make your own HERE.

On another topic, did you watch the super bowl? I thought the commercials were good this year. Did anyone hear about that guy who wanted to propose to his girlfriend in a super bowl commercial? It was this huge thing on many radio shows and some tv shows. He was all over trying to get donations or a sponsor to help him. Turns out they didn't air it. Now he wants to do it during a television show instead. I just wonder with all the hype and publicity, how would his girlfriend still be so naive to it all?

Cheesy car

Well it turns out the car needed a new starter. Set us back another hefty payment. ugh.
What are you doing for the Superbowl? Rob and I searched all over for nacho cheese today. Why couldn't we find nacho cheese 1 day before the superbowl? It wasn't just sold out.... they weren't selling it.
