Stuff

We took Misty to the vet yesterday. Turns out she is one of those cats that is allergic to her own teeth. Well, she's allergic to the plaque around the teeth so she needs to get them out. The vet said that we have to come back every 6 months to check and see what other teeth need to be pulled. I want them to just take them all out at one time and be over with it. Maybe they can do that. It's gonna cost a pretty penny but we just gotta do it. Poor girl is hurting.
Jon left for New York yesterday. That's a bummer. Its weird that he's not here anymore. It's just so normal for him to be. For Rob it's like having his brother move away and not knowing when they'll meet up again.
Rob's dad has a doctor appointment today so we're hoping for some good news.
Christmas time means stressed shoppers. My job is rather annoying. That's ok, I won't be there much longer. Rob's got a busy stretch of work for the next three weeks. Probably several early mornings and late evenings.
So Rob and I are a bit stressed and bummed right now. It'll be great to go home for Christmas. I think we both need it.

Thanksgiving

How was everyone's Thanksgiving? Mine was nice. Rob and I made the dinner. (Actually, Rob did most of the cooking.) We had Jon over and a couple others from Rob's work Nick and Todd. Later Ian and Maggie came over too. We had a good time playing the Nintendo Wii.
My digital camera bit the dust. I looked up its problem on the internet and found people that have the same problem mine is having. Turns out it is the sign of death for the camera. Oh well. I believe Christmas will bring forth a nice new one!!
I took a pic of the turkey being carved with my phone. Phone pics never turn out that nice though.

Annoyance

I keep getting calls from the same 505 area code number. I see the number on my phone as a missed call often when I'm at work. So I did some research on the internet and found that it is this stupid telemarketing company. I discovered that California is the most called state for telemarketing. I thought it was really failing now that practically everyone has caller ID on their phones and don't answer unfamiliar numbers anymore. Oh well. Its just an annoyance always getting called by this number.

Our Target camp out

Yesterday morning/afternoon Rob got in line outside Target for the Nintendo Wii which went on sale this morning. After work I joined him. We were number 5 in line. We stayed there all night long. Slept on the nice hard pavement like many others. One person brought a card table and a nice size TV which was powered by a long cable to his truck. A lot of people in the line gathered around it and watched a bootleg of the movie Borat. Then they played old SNES games until the wee hours. It got pretty cold at night but it was also pretty fun. The worst part of it all was dealing with all the Target customers walking by while the store was still open saying "What're you waiting in line for?" over and over and over again. We would often respond to their question by saying "free beer". Some people were just abhorred by the fact that we were there. Don't know why. We weren't bothering anyone. Ha... like this one lady said "what are you doing sitting here? Sitting here to get fat playing video games? I got a movie for you... dumb and dumber". That was a good one. By the morning there were over 120 people in line which is the number of councils being sold at the store so they didn't get one. As for the game council, it's really cool. The new controller makes it really fun and interactive.

Christmas comes earlier every year

Christmas is everywhere already. All the stores are totally decked out in decorations and stuff for sale. Is it me or does it start earlier and earlier every year? At Target, they were putting out Christmas stuff before Halloween arrived. Today Rob and I went to some stores. One thing we were looking for was a Thanksgiving centerpiece sort of thing. We couldn't find anything. Michaels craft store didn't have a single thanksgiving thing. It was all Christmas. Always have to shop one holiday in advance it seems. Depsite the horrible commercialism of that holiday, I still love the Christmas time..... but its still just a bit too early.

Buffalo on the horizon

We're coming to Buffalo for the holidays! Can't wait! Too bad we are flying Southwest Air which I hate. I hope there's no snow for our plane to land but then just enough pretty snow to satisfy my need to watch snow fall. (I used the word "snow" a lot in that last sentence) Last year I couldn't get very excited for Christmas because it was going to be my first Christmas away from home where I spent the previous 23 of them. But this year I can get excited again. And Michele and Drew will be there too. Last year they spent it in Delaware. I hope I get to see my favorite Christmas commercial on TV.
We've been hanging out with Jon a bunch lately. It is weird that he'll be gone in a couple more weeks. Weird indeed.
Did you know that St. Joe's hospital in Buffalo is really bad? Well it is. If you need a hospital, my suggestion would be to avoid that one if at all possible. We have a St. Joe's here. It seems pretty good. Its where movie stars have gone for treatment. That's about it. Bye!

Is it November?

Two days ago: 86 degrees. Yesterday: 92 degrees Today: 91 degrees. It beat the old record high which was set over 100 years ago. But after tomorrow it'll be going back into the 70's and even upper 60's where it belongs.

Daylight

I hate how the sun sets so early now. It's dark at 5:00! It makes the day seem so much shorter. I like the summertime when there's still light at 9:00.
