Work annoyance

Work has been stressful lately. The boss is flipping out about money issues. Hes one of those guys who only sees the books and couldn't really care less about any of the employees. He's threatening pay cuts and being a royal pain in the butt. Whatever. I'll just wait it out and see what happens. I hope it doesn't come to pay cuts because if it does, I will leave. But I like my job, love my hours and love how close it is to home. I doubt it'll get to that point.

Three years ago right now we were 2 days into our trip across the country to California. We've been here 3 years already!

Engagement and the fair

First: Congrats to my cousin Julie and her now fiance Ron on getting engaged! Now I have two weddings to attend in NY within 4 months time. I hope I can work it out.

Second: Last weekend, Rob and I went to the LA County Fair. It was fun. We ate a lot of food. Hot dog, huge funnel cake, pizza. Yum. Here's some pictures:

Every one of those face cut-out things that we found Rob took my picture. We found 7 of them. Here's two of them.

It poured out for a little while. This is the first rain LA got since it sprinkled a bit last April. It left puddles all over to jump over the rest of the day.
The chinese acrobat show was really neat. They are so good.

We stayed until it just got dark. Rob popped two balloons and won a stuffed alligator. And we went on one silly carnival ride. Good times.

Random

Today is Friday morning and I'm at work. I'm just posting for the sake of posting. I don't have much to talk about. It is not busy here right now but it will be in another half hour or so. I went with Rob to his work in Santa Monica last night and we didn't get home until late so I got to bed around 12:30 and woke up at 4:30. Needless to say I'm yawning a lot this morning. What is a yawn? All animals yawn but it has never been figured out why we do it. Ok end of pointless post.

Dreamz

Rob has been working like crazy. Practically every night for the last several weeks (with the exception of our trip to Buffalo) he has been working from morning til night. And he's worked most every Saturday too. It is lonely in the apartment all by myself all the time. Well, I have the cats. I wish I had a backyard. Anyway, I am 12 pages away from finishing Harry Potter 6. Maybe tomorrow I will finally start the 7th book. I'm so behind.

On a completely other topic just for fun: do you ever have recurring dreams? I have this one recurring dream that I had yet again last night. It is never exactly the same. The place, time and details change every time but it always has the same theme. The dream is that it is the morning and I am going to go to school. It is always the first day back to school for a new year or after a long break. In every dream I cannot find my class schedule and have no idea when and where my classes are. I usually get very frantic as I try to figure out what I'm going to do. I try to make plans whether it is to create a new schedule or keep searching for my lost one etc etc. Sometimes I find the schedule but it makes no sense to me or I don't know where these classrooms are. Often I worry that if I have gym class that day, I didn't bring my gym clothes with me. Why would this dream be recurring to me? I don't go to school. I don't have a schedule. Its interesting. I get it about once every month or so. So how bout you? Do you have recurring dreams?

Laws

Yesterday the bill was signed which will make it against the law for any teenager to talk on a cell phone while driving. I like that law. It will take effect next July. And speaking of laws taking effect, the smoking law is finally up and running. Noone can smoke within 20 feet of our work building now. It is nice. They moved the "smoking bench" to the parking ramp.

6 years

Today is 6 years since the 9-11 attacks. They continue to say "remembering 9-11" and "we will never forget". Isn't that what the terrorists want? Bin Laden must be smiling knowing that we are still letting it affect us so much.

Buffalo Pictures

Buffalo was fun. It was a short trip but a lot was packed in. Three different parties. 1: Labor Day party with all my relatives at mom and dad's house. 2: Party at Rob's Aunt Pat's house. 3: Parkapolooza, which is a party my parent's friends have every year with bands and food and fun. I loved being outside and being in my backyard. I love the gardens and the grass. I loved seeing everyone. Check out the pictures in the album to the right. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures at Rob's parent's house or the party at his Aunt Pat's. Anyway, enjoy and let me know what you think.
